Obituary for Noah Washington Keen

Noah Washington Keen, 76 years of age of the Clifton Fork section of Raven, VA, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Clinch Valley Medical Center. Born November 12, 1940 in Keen Mountain, VA, he was the son of the late John Ballard Keen and Nellie Rosalie Horn Keen.

Noah was a member of Loggy Bottom Pentecostal Church, enjoyed hunting, fishing but most of all he enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Gail Keen, brother Larry Keen, and sister Joyce Fuller.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-four years and four days, Mary Jane Osborne Keen of Raven, VA; daughters Rebecca Clifton of Clifton Fork, VA, Pamela Viers and husband Kile of Contrary, VA; Godson, Elijah Osborne of Grundy, VA; sister Brenda Gibson of Auburn, IN; brothers Von Keen and wife Shirl of Contrary, VA, Jimmy Keen and wife Lucie of Flora, AL, Jerry Keen and wife Jolyn of Auburn, IN, John Keen and wife Mary of Waterloo, IN, Ronnie Keen and wife Susie of Cedar Bluff, VA, Homer Keen and wife Tina of Auburn, IN; brother-in-law Henry Fuller of Auburn, IN.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Selina Gross and husband Josh, Justin Clifton and wife Ashley, Kelsie Viers; great-grandchildren Trevor Gross, Wade Clifton, and baby on the way Trent Gross; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service for Noah Washington Keen will be held at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Keen Mountain, VA, Friday, October 27, 2017 at 12:00 noon with Reverend Johnny Rex Ward, Reverend Randy Webb and Reverend Billy Clifton officiating. Burial will follow in the Esau Rife Cemetery, Keen Mountain, VA.

Active pallbearers will be his nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jawad, Dr. Kabaria, Dr. J. G. Patel, Dr. Bidros, Dr. Brown and the Nursing Staffs of Buchanan General Hospital and Clinch Valley Medical Center.

The family will receive friends at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home of Keen Mountain, VA, Thursday, October 26th, after 6:00 p.m. with evening service to be held at 7:00 p.m.
