Obituary for Larry Dean O'Quinn

Larry Dean O’Quinn, Sr., 59 years of age of Jolo, WV, went to join his precious daughter Courtney and all of his other loving family in Heaven Sunday, April 1st, 2018 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY with his family by his side. Born December 22, 1958, he was the son of the late Earnel Ellis (Red) and Draxie Mullins O’Quinn.

Larry was a lifelong resident of Jolo, WV, was a Christian and of the Pentecostal Faith. He was a truck driver by trade and an avid junk man. He enjoyed spending his time playing with his three grandchildren, watching NASCAR races, old westerns and listening to country music. He was loved by all the little kids because he was a kid at heart and would get down and play with them.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Courtney, brothers Harold O’Quinn and Earnie Church; sister Tina Underwood; brothers-in-law Paul McIntosh and Steve Kennedy.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-three years, Linda Gail Cook Q’Quinn of Jolo, WV; son Larry O’Quinn and wife Stephanie of Jolo, WV; sister Sharlene McIntosh of Stringtown, WV; brothers Danny O'Quinn and wife Patty of Atwell, WV, Gary O'Quinn, which was also his best friend and wife Cathy of Jolo, WV, Michael Church and wife Crystal of Pigeon Forge, TN.

He was also survived by three grandchildren, Tristin, Marshall, and Maleighah O’Quinn all of Jolo, WV, mother-In- Law Frankie Cook of Raysal, WV: sisters-in-law Carol O’Quinn of Grundy, VA, Ruby Kennedy of Abingdon, VA and Dora Zamora and husband Steve of Fort Worth, TX., brother-in- law Tommy Cook, Jr. of Raysal, WV, Billy Underwood, Jolo, WV, special friend Harvey Eddie Duty, a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Jesus Church of Bartley, WV with the Reverend Pete Woods officiating. Burial will follow at the O’Quinn Family Cemetery at Jolo, WV.

Serving as active pallbearers whom he considered as sons are Brian Endicott, Steven Graham, Jimmie Lee Drake and Kenny Mullins, also Tim O’Quinn, Robbie Ward, Joshua Ward, Michael McIntosh, Bill Lester, Joey Gilbert, Matthew Christian, Thomas Cook and Michael Honaker.

The family will receive friends at the Jesus Church of Bartley, Bartley, WV after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday where evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
